Game of Champions to host Germany and Brazil legends in Düsseldorf

The ESPRIT arena in Düsseldorf, Germany will host the “Game of Champions” on May 31, 2018 as legendary footballers from Germany and Brazil come together to raise money for a good cause.

The Germany v Brazil match will feature former internationals from both countries. Germany have confirmed the participation of Mario Basler, Fredi Bobic, Torsten Frings, Kevin Kuranyi, Oliver Neuville, David Odonkor, Carsten Rammelow, Gerald Asamoah, Stefan Beinlich, Patrick Owomoyela, Heiko Herrlich and Timo Hildebrand.

Cafú, Roque Junior, Roberto Carlos, Kleberson, Rivaldo, Paulo Sergio, Zé Roberto, Carlos Dunga, Giovane Elber, Dede, Lúcio, Jorginho and Aldair have been confirmed so far by the Brazilian side.

Both teams will announce their full squads in the coming weeks and one can expect many more stars of the past joining the fundraiser.

The money will be donated to the Stars4Kids charity. Stars4Kids, founded by 1994 FIFA World Cup winners Jorginho and Paulo Sergio, is a Stuttgart-based organisation which supports children’s aid projects around the world.
