Santa Cruz Club of Cavelossim came from one goal down to beat FC Bardez 4-1 in a GFA Goa Professional League game played at Duler Stadium Mapusa here on Saturday.

The game began on an equal front as both sides moved ahead in search of goals. However it was the Bardez side that scored the opener in the 17th minute through Chatur Naiks neat finish that landed straight into the nets.

However the Cavelossim side regrouped quickly and came with the equalizer in the 25th minute through Mathew Colaço.

The south side dominated the game then on and pressed hard onto the FC Bardez defence and managed to surge ahead in the 40th minute as Alvito Miranda eased past the rival back line and scored amidst a blank Bardez keeper.

The second half saw the struggling Bardez side try hard to bounce back into the game but in doing so the Cavelossim side managed to sneak inside the danger area and add further misery onto the opposition.

Alvito Miranda completed his brace in the 65th minute while later added a third to his tally in the 74th minute as the Cavelossim side walked home with all three points thrashing the Bardez side 4-1 who have been having a tough campaign in recent games.
