Salgaocar FC grab full points against Vasco SC in Goa Pro League

Two second half strikes from Selwin Miranda and Deependra Murgaonkar saw Salgaocar Football Club ease past Vasco Sports Club in a GFA Goa Professional League match, at Duler Stadium, Mapusa, on Saturday.

The Green Brigade now move to 17 points after playing eight games while the Port Towners are on 10 points after playing 10 games.

There was no score at the break as both the goals came in the second session of the play. For Vasco Hussain and Aman had early chances in the game but the striking pair failed to convert the opportunities.

At the other end, Salgaocar FC Ronaldo and Deependra combined well upfront but they lacked the finishing touches.

In the second half, after starting slowly, Salgaocar FC finally took the lead in the 68th minute through Selwin whose shot received from the rival custodian.

Salgaocar FC doubled the account in the 86th minute, this time through Deependra, who finally found the back of the net after having a tough day earlier in the game. Deependra was assisted by Ronaldo.
