CONCACAF - Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football

The Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football (Concacaf) announced that Jamaica will host the 2019 Flow Concacaf Caribbean Club Championship. The competition for professional Caribbean clubs is scheduled to take place May 12-19, 2019, at the Stadium East, in Kingston, Jamaica.

Together with the recently completed 2019 Caribbean Club Shield, the 2019 Flow Concacaf Caribbean Club Championship serves as the qualifying tournament for the 2019 Scotiabank Concacaf League and 2020 Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League, opening the door for wider participation of Caribbean clubs in Confederation championships.

“The 2019 edition of our Flow Concacaf Caribbean Club Championship will continue raising the competitive level of our Expanded Club Competitions Platform,” said Concacaf General Secretary Philippe Moggio. “Along with the Caribbean Shield and on-going club licensing efforts in the Caribbean, this competition provides fully professionalized leagues with clear pathways to the top levels of Concacaf international tournaments.”

“This is our second year as headline sponsor of the Flow Concacaf Caribbean Club Championship and we are pleased to continue to support the development of Caribbean club football,” said Michael Look Tong, CWC Director, Entertainment Networks & Media Ops. “We are also happy to broadcast this tournament live across the region on our FLOW Sports network, enabling viewers to share in the exciting moments as we showcase our top Caribbean football talent.”

The participating clubs for the 2019 Flow Concacaf Caribbean Club Championship are (in alphabetical order by Association) AS Capoise (HAI), Real Hope FA (HAI), Portmore United FC (JAM) and Waterhouse FC (JAM).

The winner of the 2019 Flow Concacaf Caribbean Club Championship will qualify directly to the 2020 Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League, while the runner-up and third place finishers will qualify for the 2019 Scotiabank Concacaf League. The fourth-place finisher will face S.V. Robinhood (SUR), winner of the 2019 Caribbean Club Shield, in a playoff match to determine the third club that will represent the Caribbean in the 2019 Scotiabank Concacaf League.
