The Deutscher Fußball Botschafter (German Football Ambassador) 2019 award ceremony will take place at the German Federal Foreign Office (Auswärtiges Amt) in Berlin next Wednesday, May 15.

The jury comprising Rainer Holzschuh (chairman), Horst Hrubesch, Doris Fitschen, Berti Vogts, Dr. Martin Schäfer and Lutz Pfannenstiel has announced three nominees in the coaches category:

Jürgen Klopp (Head Coach, Liverpool FC)

Petra Landers (currently running a project in Sambia)

Michael Weiss (Head Coach, Mongolia national team)

The winners of the various German Football Ambassador categories will be honoured next week in the presence of German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas and invited guests from the world of football, politics and show-biz.
