Jamshedpur FC Youth Teams (Tata Football Academy) has been accredited as a 4-star Academy by the All India Football Federation (AIFF) for the year 2019/20. The club is part of a prestigious group as only two other clubs/academies have received a 4-star rating, namely, Bhaichung Bhutia Football Schools, Delhi and Bengaluru FC. Jamshedpur FC and Bengaluru FC are the only ISL clubs to have received a 4-star rating.

The Reliance Foundation Youth Champs Academy in Navi Mumbai received the highest rating of 5-star.

The Academy Accreditation process lasted for six months, a time period that included organisation of workshops, submission of mandatory documents for assessment, followed by physical inspections carried out by designated AIFF personnel, and the declaration of results.

All academies were assessed on the basis of age-group teams, technical support, training curriculum, talent identification and recruitment process, facilities and infrastructure, medical provisions, tournament participation and existing administrative support.
