Football Association of Odisha launch 2019 FAO League

The Football Association of Odisha (FAO) on Wednesday, July 24 launched the 2019 edition of the FAO League with Odisha Sports Hostel taking on Odisha Police at the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack.

In the opening ceremony Bijaya Kumar Khandayatray (A.D.M. – Cuttack) was present as Chief Guest, while Asirbad Behera (Honorary Secretary – O.A.A.) was present as Guest of Honour.

The other dignitaries who were present at the ceremony were Bhaktabalav Das (FAO Vice-President), Tadit Kumar Rout (FAO Vice-President), Avijit Paul (FAO Joint Secretary), Gopal Das (FAO Member), Manas Samal (FAO Member), Biswa Ranajan Ghadei (FAO Member), Bishnu Charan Rout (FAO Member), Narendra Kumar Sahoo (FAO Member), Sahadev Rout, Rashmi Ranjan Samantray (D.S.O. – Cuttack) along with many others.

The inaugural match was played between Odisha Sports Hostel and Odisha Police. The keenly contested match was won 1-0 by Sports Hostel through Jaysingh Gagrayi.
