India winger Lallianzuala Chhangte after his second trial stint with Norwegian Eliteserien Viking FK will not be joining them.

Viking Stavanger in an official statement said, “It has been a pleasure having Zuala training with our squad for a period of time.”

“He is a determined, willing to learn and hard working – truly a professional footballer.”

“This in combination with his friendly and polite nature makes him a welcomed member of any squad.”

“Unfortunately we were not in the position to give him a contract proposal. Amongst other reasons Vikign FK has a large squad with tough competition especially in the positions Zuala plays.”

“It is our opinion that he should play in a club at a highest level possible and continue his efforts for The Indian national team.”

“Zuala has got many friends in Viking FK and we all wish him all the best in his future career.”

With Chhangte not signing a contract in Norway after his 10 days there, he now returns to India for the national team camp while looking to sign for a new club after his contract at Delhi Dynamos FC has ended.
