Delhi name their U-17 boys squad for Junior National Football Championship

Football Delhi (formerly known as Delhi Soccer Association)

Football Delhi have named their final Delhi U-17 boys squad for the Junior National Football Championship for the Dr. B.C. Roy Trophy in Meghalaya from January 28 to February 6.

Striker Ashu of Modern School has been named as captain, while goalkeeper Shubham Biswas of Nalanda Public School has been named vice-captain.

Delhi have been drawn in Group A to face Uttar Pradesh (February 28), Mizoram (February 30), and Goa (February 1).

Football Delhi president Dr. Shaji Prabhakaran said, “You are lucky 20 to qualify from the 400 boys who participated in the trials and now the onus is on you to come with flying colours and bring good name for Delhi, proud parents and yourself.”
