Germany have been declared Algarve Cup 2020 champions by the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) which hosted and organised the tournament.
The final of the Algarve Cup was scheduled to take place later today with the Women’s national teams of Germany and Italy set to meet in the closing summit.
But the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) withdrew its team from the competition due to Italy’s heightened entry restrictions aimed at curbing the spread of the coronavirus.
