Francisco Bruto da Costa joins East Bengal as coach

East Bengal Club

Kolkata giants East Bengal Club have announced that Francisco Bruto da Costa has joined them as a coach for the 2020/21 season.

Currently it is unclear if East Bengal will play in the Indian Super League or I-League, then in the ISL Francisco can only be an assistant coach, while in the I-League he could be either the head or assistant coach depending on what the red and gold decide.

Francisco Bruto da Costa is an AFC Pro Coaching License holder, who has worked for the AIFF as an assistant coach with the India Under-14, U-16 and U-19 sides besides the AIFF Elite Academy after having held his first coaching assignment with Salcete FC and then the Salgaocar FC youth system.

Francisco was assistant to head coach Nelo Vingada at NorthEast United FC in 2016 before moving with Nelo again as his assistant to be with the Malaysian national team in 2017.

Now Francisco moves to Kolkata to join East Bengal Club.
