Gokulam Kerala FC have signed Faslu Rahman, a promising winger from Malappuram. This is the third player the Malabarians have signed for the upcoming 2020/21 season.

The 22-year-old player is from Tanur in Malappuram and has played for SAT Tirur, Ozone FC, and has appeared in the Santosh Trophy for Tripura.

He has scored more than nine goals for SAT Tirur in the Kerala Premier League. During his career in Ozone FC, the club emerged champions in the Bangalore Super Division. The player was also top scorer in Tripura League and was thereby selected to their Santosh Trophy squad.

“It is a pleasure to play for Gokulam Kerala FC. The club has given hope for several players like me. I will give my best and my ambition is to start every game in I League. I know most of the Kerala players in Gokulam and it is like a home for me,” he said.

“Faslu Rahman’s main strength is his speed. He also dribbles a lot. What makes him different from other wingers is his ability to score goals. He has a knack for it,” said Bino George, the technical director of Gokulam Kerala FC.

“It is our duty as a Kerala club to give chance for players like Faslu. He has been under our radar for quite a while. We are glad that another talented Kerala player is in our squad,” said Gokulam Kerala FC chairman Gokulam Gopalan.
