Football Association of Odisha condoles the passing of Abdul Jabba

The Football Association of Odisha (FAO) mourns the death of former state footballer Abdul Jabbar, popularly called Gitu Bhai. Jabbar breathed his last at 10.40 PM yesterday, September 1, at his residence in Jhola Sahi, Cuttack. He was around 85 yrs old.

Jabbar, who was also the Chief Advisor of the Veteran Football Players Association, had the honour of representing the Odisha state football teams and various football clubs including Mohammedan Sporting Club.

He is survived by his wife and two sons. He was also the father of Md Shahid Jabbar (Joint Secretary, FAO).
