Dutch Eredivisie side FC Groningen played host to Bundesliga club DSC Arminia Bielefeld in a pre-season friendly match at the Hitachi Capital Mobility Stadion on Sunday, September 6.
The hosts took the lead in the 17th minute when Netherlands legend Arjen Robben opened the score sheet. He bended the ball into the bottom corner from outside of the box with his left foot. It was Robben’s first goal for his boyhood club since 2002.
Bielefeld levelled the score line four minutes later when Jomaine Consbruch slotted home past Groningen’s goalkeeper Sergio Padt.
