Indian youngster Vedaant Nag has signed for Austria Regionalliga West (third division) side USK Anif for the 2021/22 season.

Speaking on his signing with USK Anif, 24 year old Vedaant Nag said, “I’m very happy it has come through! It’s a proud moment for me personally and as an Indian. I’m grateful to USK Anif for this opportunity. My attention and focus now shifts back to what’s most important; performing well for the club while improving individually. I look forward to the work I have ahead of me.”

Vedaant Nag is a product of the DFI – Deutsches Fußball Internat in Bad Aibling, Germany. Since graduating from there, he has played for TuS Bad Aibling, SV Kolbermoor, SB Rosenheim II and SB Traunstein in the lower leagues of Bavarian football.

USK Anif head coach Bernhard Kletzl speaking on the latest signing said, “With Vedaant we get a player who is willing to learn, and who can be used on both the left and right side of the defence. Our defence is now complete!”

For Vedaant the opportunity with USK Anif is a big chance to make it as a professional footballer in Europe.

Congratulations and all the best, Vedaant! I’m excited to see your progress in Europe and I look forward to see again very soon.
