Former I-League champions Aizawl FC have announced the contract extension for nine of their players for the upcoming 2021/22 season.

Amongst the players who have extended their contracts are goalkeeper Lalthakima Ralte, full back K. Lalmalsawma, the midfielders Joseph Vanlalhruaia, Lalengmawia, Ramhlunchhunga, and K. Lalhmangaihkima, winger Lalmuanzova besides the strikers Lalliansanga and F. Lalremsanga.

Despite losing some of their players to teams in the Indian Super League and I-League rivals, Aizawl FC have been able to keep a number of regulars at the club ahead of the 2021/22 I-League campaign.
