FSV Gütersloh 2009 have secured the services of highly talented Emilia Deppe. The 17-year-old offensive midfielder will join the German 2nd Division Bundesliga side this summer ahead of the 2022/23 season from SV Lippstadt 08. Deppe has signed a one-year contract until next summer.

Deppe started her football career at the age of five, when she joined SuS Cappel before moving on to SV Lippstadt three years later. She is currently playing for Lippstadt in the Boy’s BII Landesliga. Deppe has made a total of six appearances for FSV Gütersloh’s U-17s team in the 2018/19 and 2020/21 U-17s Bundesliga seasons due to a special permit. Now, Deppe has decided to sign a contract with FSV and to play for the FSV Gütersloh first team.

“I’ve decided to join FSV, because I’ve played for the club at the U-17s level. I know a few players and the club,” said Deppe. “My goal for the new season is to improve myself further and to be successful with the team.”

Deppe had earned a debut call-up to the Germany U-19 women’s national in February 2022 for a Three-Nation-Tournament in Spain. The highly talented midfielder will be part of the Germany squad for the 2022 UEFA European Women’s Under-19 Championship scheduled to take place from 27 June to 9 July in the Czech Republic. Germany will face Sweden, Norway, and England in Group B at the European finals. The Kathrin Peter coached Germany U-19 WNT will also take on France in a preparation match on June 21 at the famous Clairefontaine Academy.
