The ‘Indo-Pak Express’ had a tough match in the quarterfinals of the GERRY WEBER OPEN 2011 doubles competition at Halle (Westfalen), Germany today. Rohan Bopanna and Aisam-Ul-Haq Qureshi faced stiff resistence from Dustin Brown (GER) and Gael Monfils (FRA) at a fully packed Court 1.

It was a cold and rainy day in Halle and Brown/Monfils seemed to be more comfortable with the conditions. The duo started off very well in the first set and they capitalized on many unforced errors by Bopanna/Quareshi to win the first set.

The second set was a close affair with both double teams winning breaks and taking it to the tie-break. Bopanna/Quareshi finally managed to find their rhythm and clinched the second set to take the match to a deciding match tie-break.

The number one seeded ‘Indo-Pak Express’ displayed some good tennis in the match tie-break and won the match 4:6, 7:6, 10:4.
