Rohan Bopanna and Aisam-Ul-Haq Qureshi have won their semifinal match at the GERRY WEBER OPEN 2011 in Halle (Westfalen), Germany. The ‘Indo-Pak Express’ had the better end against the German duo Christopher Kas and Philipp Kohlschreiber in a hardly fought match.

Kas/Kohlschreiber had the better start and they took the first set into a tie-break, which they won in-front of a partisan crowd at the Gerry Weber Stadium. But Bopanna/Qureshi replied well and claimed the second set in their favour.

The semifinal went into a match tie-break to find a finalist for the doubles competition of the 19th edition of the GERRY WEBER OPEN.

The ‘Indo-Pak Express’ needed all their experience to survive the match tie-break and they performed excellent tennis in a do-or-die situation.

Bopanna/Qureshi won the match 5:7, 6:3, 11:9.

The top-seeded duo will face Robin Haase (NED) and Milos Raonic (CAN) in the final tomorrow.
