Chelsea FC coach Roberto Di Matteo is fully focused on the UEFA Champions League final at Munich with less than a week to go for the big game. The Italian is eager to finish the season with a win in Europe’s most prestigious club competition.

The EPL side will face German giants FC Bayern Munich, who suffered a disappointing 2-5 defeat by the hands of Borussia Dortmund in the German Cup (DFB-Pokal) final last night. Di Matteo was present at the final, which took place at the Olympiastadion in Berlin and he was able to witness how the reigning Bundesliga champions trashed Bayern.

The German Cup final is just one piece in the Italians preparations for the match. “All the time I have, I will dedicate myself to preparation for Bayern Munich,” Di Matteo told CFC’s website chelseafc.com. “I’ve seen them play before, I saw the two semi-finals and also watched them in the group stages. I know the game is in Munich but the stadium will be split; it’s a one-off game, we know how they can play, I’ve seen them play away and at home, so we’ll see.”

Looking forward to the team selection, Di Matteo told: “There are still a couple of positions to decide upon but that also depends on who is going to be available for the final. It all depends how next week pans out for us.”

Chelsea FC will be traveling to Munich with their full squad including all suspended and injured players. The CFC coaching staff is hoping that the presence of the complete squad will give their side a further boost, when they take on the German at their home ground.

“I have no concerns and no doubts about the fact they will be there pushing their team mates and supporting them and driving them,” Di Matteo added.
