The German giants were hoping for their first title of the season and a win to boost the morale ahead of their clash against Chelsea FC next Saturday. But Jupp Heynckes’ team had no appropriate answer to Dortmund’s dominance and they had to leave Berlin’s Olympiastadion with the silver medal.

“It’s a disappointment and it hurts,” Arjen Robben told in a post-match interview. “We don’t concede five goals in a match that often, so it is definitely a disappointment for us. But it’s our fault.”

“We are all human beings and we do make mistakes. But we made too many of them today,” the Dutch superstar continued. “My compliments to Dortmund. They played well and they deserved to win today.”

“We need to cope with it professionally. There will be a very important match next week and it shouldn’t be an excuse for the performance today,” said Robben. “We need to prepare well and train hard to be ready for the match next week.”

“We can forget everything, if we win the match next week,” the Dutchman concluded.
