The prestigious annual Indian Sports Award, instituted by FICCI, was announced at a star-studded function held yesterday. Sporty Solutionz (P) Ltd, one of Indian sub-continent’s leading sports marketing and media right company, has been conferred the ‘Best Sports Management and Event Company for 2013’ by FICCI.

Speaking on this occasion, Ashish Chadha, CEO, Sporty Solutionz (P) Ltd, said, “We feel humbled to receive the honour and recognition from the industry and the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. Sporty Solutionz is committed to create more world-class sports properties and live up to the expectations of millions of sports aficionados in India. Sporty Solutionz are the Commercial Owners of the Vodafone Indian Badminton League, which is a franchise-based league, the first of its kind in badminton. The IBL is the world’s richest badminton tournament and held jointly with the Badminton Association of India. Sporty is also the Commercial Owner of the Indian Wrestling League, touted as the richest wrestling league in the world. The IWL will be held jointly with the Wrestling Federation of India in 2014.

Besides, Sporty’s other premier acquisition are the global media rights of the Sri Lanka Premier League (cricket), Bangladesh Premier League (cricket) and the Celebrity Cricket League, in addition to distributing the media rights for Euro 2012. Sporty was also the marketing and event partner for the 2013 India Open BWF Super series.

FICCI’S Indian Sports Award is the longest running awards show for Sports and Sports Business in India which recognises sports beyond cricket.
