U-19 I-League North-East Zone Group table leaders Shillong Lajong FC will host bottom placed Green Valley SC in the qualifiers at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Shillong on Tuesday at 13.00 IST.

The Junior Reds are coming into this match following their 3-2 win last week over Rangdajied United FC and remain at the top of the table with nine points from three matches.

Green Valley SC, on the other hand, lost against Royal Wahingdoh FC in Guwahati last week and has managed only one point from three games, courtesy a draw against Rangdajied United in the second round.

Junior Reds striker, Shaiborlang, who did not play the last game, is likely to also miss tomorrow’s match as well due to injury.

Meanwhile, Captain Redeem Tlang who scored in the last two matches for his team, is in top form and will look to add to his tally and help secure a victory for his team.

Coach Alison Khasyntiew who is hoping his boys will deliver a much better performance tomorrow. He said, “We have remained unbeaten so far and we wish that the boys remain consistent and continue to have the winning mentality.”

“Green Valley is a good team and they will surely put up a fight against Lajong. Therefore we will not take the opponents lightly and we will focus to work hard as a team to win all the remaining matches,” Khasyntiew added.
