In a major boost for the passionate supporters of Chennaiyin FC, the franchise has tied up with Uber as its Fan Mobility Partner for the 2015 Hero Indian Super League season.

Despite being only formed in August 2014, Chennaiyin FC has become the city’s premier football team having attracted an average attendance of nearly 25,000 during the first season of the ISL.

The tie-up with Uber will help enhance the journey of the fans to and from Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, also known as the Marina Arena, during the 2015 ISL.

By seamlessly connecting riders to drivers through its platform, Uber makes Chennai more accessible, opening up more travel possibilities for people in this city through its various product types – uberGO, uberX & UberBLACK. Today, the service is available in 23 Indian cities — more than any other country outside the United States.

During the 2015 ISL, new Uber users can apply a promo code: UBERCFC15, which will unlock two free rides (worth Rs 300 each) to the Marina Arena and back.

Chennaiyin FC CEO Ashish Shah stated, “We’re delighted to partner with Uber as our Fan Mobility Partner. It’s our conscious effort to provide the fans with a seamless experience to come & experience the atmosphere & adrenaline of watching their club play live at the Marina Arena. We urge all our fans to utilize the exclusive promo code & avoid the match day rush for parking at the stadium.”

Bhavik Rathod, GM, Uber Bangalore, stated, “We’re excited to partner with Chennaiyan FC as their Fan Mobility Partner for this ISL season.  We’re here to provide the fans a hassle-free, convenient, safe and reliable ride to and from the Jawaharlal Nehru stadium. New users can also look out for Uber kiosks at the venue to help with signing up and availing the free ride. Over the course of the season, we’ve planned many exciting events including Uber riders getting a chance to meet and greet with the team and many more engaging activities.”

Tickets for the 2015 ISL opening ceremony and Chennaiyin’s opening game against Atletico de Kolkata on October 3rd can be purchased online http://in.bookmyshow.com/chennaiyinfc and also now available in the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium box office at Gate Number 10.
