Lukas Podolski, Emre Can, Jonas Hector and German Rap-Superstar Cro introduced in Berlin on Monday the new home kit of the German national football team for UEFA EURO 2016™. During a concert in front of 700 young fans at the Football Base, the Berlin Football-Location of DFB general supplier adidas, the players revealed together with the panda mask-rapper the new home jersey of the world champions.

“Die Mannschaft” will look to capture the EURO title at the tournament in France in a classic black and white look. A white jersey combines with black shorts and black socks to create a timeless outfit which fans of all generations associate with the national team. The front of the jersey shows a “success bar code” graphic which represents the titles and successes at previous World and European Championships. On the sleeves, the years of these famous victories are shown.

“The jersey represents success, and the classic colours fit perfectly together”, says the captain of the national team, Bastian Schweinsteiger. For the first time, the famous adidas three stripes on the jersey are not on the sleeves, but rather shown on the side. Black-red-gold details decorate the seam. There is also a variation of the jersey for women in in a slim, feminine cut. Representative of the National Team, Oliver Bierhoff said: “The design of the new home jersey is classic and very clean. Therefore, the jersey stands for the way we would like to see the team play during the EUROS in France: focused, straight forward, efficient.”

The new kit will receive its on pitch debut on Friday, 13th November, during the Friendly game against France in Paris. The jersey will be available to purchase on the same day at the DFB-Onlineshop (www.dfb-fanshop.de), at adidas Stores, the adidas online shop (www.adidas.com/football), and specialty retailers.
