A Special General Body Meeting was held by the Mizoram Football Association today at Aijal Club in Aizawl.

The Chief Guest of the meeting, Sports Minister Robert Romawia Royte announced that plans are in motion for the North east based Laldenga North East Peace Cup to take place in the future while he also stated that funds are being made available for the setup of new infrastructure throughout the state. The minister also addressed the meeting to continue it’s excellent work in the development of football throughout the state.

The MFA has decided that the suspension of football due to the COVID-19 pandemic will remain until the MFA Executive Committee makes the decision regarding the commencement of competitions. The MFA has also decided against proposing a calendar for the season as it will continue to monitor the current COVID-19 situation with a view of finding resolutions depending on the fluidity of the situation.

All apex divisions under the District FA are now required to register in the Centralized Registration System for the upcoming season. Player registration and transfer will be conducted as per the AIFF and MFA regulations in future.
