DFB Women’s Cup Round 1 draw conducted during a video conference

The Round 1 draw for the DFB Women’s Cup (DFB-Pokal der Frauen) took place earlier today during a video conference with all participating teams in attendance. The draw was carried out by former Germany Women’s international Renate Lingor.

A total of 52 teams will participate in the 2020/21 edition of the tournament which will kick off with Round 1 fixtures on September 26/27. All the twelve teams from the top tier of German women’s football, the FLYERALARM Women’s Bundesliga (FLYERALARM Frauen-Bundesliga), have been handed a first round bye.

The Round 1 draw featured to different draw pots – North Zone and South Zone – to avoid long travel and expenses for the small clubs.
