During this year’s “The Best FIFA Football Awards”, a duo from FC Bayern München were honoured. On Thursday evening, striker Robert Lewandowski was announced as “The Best FIFA Men’s Player” and Manuel Neuer as “The Best FIFA Men’s Goalkeeper.”

DFL CEO Christian Seifert:

“I am delighted with this Bundesliga double at The Best FIFA Football Awards 2020 and would like to congratulate the award winners as well as FC Bayern München. It is great news that Robert Lewandowski is the first player from the Bundesliga to be crowned the Best FIFA Men’s Player. In my view, he was the obvious choice. Lewandowski is an exceptional striker and one of the best players in the Bundesliga’s history. Likewise, the choice of Manuel Neuer as the Best FIFA Men’s Goalkeeper 2020 is both richly deserved and pleasing, after so many years as a world-class performer and the second treble win of his career. His outstanding quality has been evident for so long.”
