Arminia Bielefeld and Borussia Mönchengladbach share spoils

Bundesliga

DSC Arminia Bielefeld and Borussia Mönchengladbach settled for a 1-1 draw in an entertaining Bundesliga Matchday 21 fixture on Saturday afternoon.

Janni Serra gave the hosts the lead in the 18th minute when he curled a perfectly-timed shot past Borussia goalkeeper Yann Sommer into the top corner to the delight of 10,000 fans at the SchücoArena in Bielefeld.

But the visitors bounced back in an end-to-end encounter as Alassane Plea found the back of the net minutes before the half-time break with a fine header.

Both sides had their chances to take the lead and win the match but they were denied by the in-form goalkeepers or their unfortunate finish.
