Bengaluru FC, on Monday, announced plans to launch a twelfth BFC Soccer Schools center, based out of the Loyola School, located in Pashan Road, in Pune. The program, set to begin on June 20th, will invite boys and girls between five and 16 years of age for classes scheduled to take place in two batches on three days a week.

“We’re really glad to see BFC Soccer Schools in yet another city, which aligns with our aim of giving as many children the opportunity to learn and play football in a professional environment. We have learned from experience that there is immense potential in many players across the country, especially in the younger age groups, and we want to give them direction in their journey towards becoming professional footballers,” said Bengaluru FC CEO, Mandar Tamhane.

Set in the Loyola High School and Junior College Ground in Pashan, BFC Soccer Schools classes will be held in a safe and secure environment, with facilities that include an international standard 11-a-side natural grass pitch and ample parking space. The program will see sessions conducted by qualified and licensed youth coaches with prior experience in coaching at a youth level and the development of footballers.

In addition, the club will also undertake coaching for the Loyola High School age-group football teams, designing a curriculum in line with the club’s philosophy and Player Development pathway.

“Our long-term vision with the BFC Soccer Schools centers in Pune is to develop Elite Soccer Schools teams within the city that can go on to participate in the Youth I-League from Maharashtra, and in the other Youth Leagues within the city. We want the children here to have a pathway to the Bengaluru FC Residential Academy in Bellary and hopefully make it to the first teams of professional football clubs,” added Tamhane.

BFC Soccer Schools, currently operational in seven centers across Bengaluru, two in Mumbai and one each in Belagavi and Dehradun, will invite players from Loyola School for a session on 18th June, while other children are invited for an open session the following day. Both sessions are scheduled to take place between 8 and 10 am, with regular classes to commence from the 20th June.
