The Indian women’s national team has dropped two spots in the latest FIFA Women’s World Ranking released today.

India is now ranked 51st in the world and 11th in Asia with 1431 points. The Indian team is flanked by Ghana (50th | 1459 points) and South Africa (52nd | 1430 points).

The United States (2197    points) retained first place ahead of Germany (2173 points) and Japan (2076 points). France and Sweden complete the Top 5 of the FIFA Women’s World Ranking.

A total of 142 senior ‘A’ international matches have been played since the publishing of the last ranking. Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Venezuela, Tunisia, Algeria, Egypt and Mali are back in the ranking, while Guam, Dominica and Antigua & Barbuda are no longer ranked due to the inactivity of the national teams.

The next FIFA Women’s World Ranking will be released on June 20.
