Atlético de Kolkata v FC Pune City

Atlético de Kolkata v FC Pune City

Atlético de Kolkata took on FC Pune City in a Hero Indian Super League (ISL) match at the Saltlake Stadium, Kolkata on Friday.

The visitors from Pune opened the score sheet in the 35th minute when Davide Colomba found Dudu Omagbemi in the box with a perfect cross from the left side. Dudu put a well-placed header on target which left Atlético de Kolkata goalkeeper Subhasish Roy Chowdhury stunned.

FC Pune City increased their lead in the second half when 2014 FIFA World Cup participant Kostas Katsouranis surprised everyone with an incredible curling shot into the back of the net.

Hero Indian Super League table toppers Atlético de Kolkata had their difficulties to unfold their game and to challenge the visitors dangerously.

Pune City goalkeeper Arindam Bhattcharya gave the hosts a glimpse of hope when he brought down Fikru Teferra Lemessa in the box to give away a penalty. Fikru converted the penalty to reduce the margin, but Pune restored the old margin minutes later through a free kick by Davide Colomba.

FC Pune City secured a vital 3-1 away win to keep their campaign rolling.
