Photo Gallery - Allianz Frauen-Bundesliga: SGS Essen 1-1 1.FFC Turbine Potsdam

I had the opportunity to attend the Allianz Frauen-Bundesliga (Women’s Bundesliga) match SGS Essen v 1.FFC Turbine Postdam on Sunday.

The match was played at the Stadion Essen and it ended in a 1-1 draw after intense 90 minutes in front of 1,384 fans.

Turbine Potsdam took the lead in the 26th minute when Johanna Elsig found the back of the net. But Essen hit back in the second half as Charline Hartmann (52nd) put the ball past rival goalkeeper Lisa Schmitz to secure the home side a draw against one the best teams in German Women’s football.
