Hertha BSC announce cooperation with Women’s Bundesliga side Turbine Potsdam

Bundesliga side Hertha BSC and Women’s Bundesliga side 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam have announced a cooperation between the two clubs. Berlin-based Hertha will work closely with the successful women’s football club from the state capital of neighbouring Brandenburg.

“Hertha BSC GmbH & Co. KGaA and 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam have agreed a partnership for the next three years,” Hertha BSC stated in an announcement on the club website. “Hertha will support Potsdam financially and cooperate with their sporting activities. Both clubs will also work together in different brand and communication measures. The partnership is another part of Hertha’s CSR commitment, whereby diversity and progress are extremely important to the club’s values.”

“Hertha BSC are delighted to be working with one of the most successful women’s clubs in German and European football,” said Hertha president Werner Gegenbauer. “This partnership should help improve football in Berlin and Brandenburg. We’re convinced that both clubs with benefit from this cooperation!”

Turbine president Rolf Kutzmutz was also pleased with the announcement: “Turbine Potsdam only operate with women’s sides, so the partnership with Hertha BSC will support us greatly. We are really happy and we will do all we can to make sure this is a positive partnership. Hertha and Potsdam are now connected like the rivers Havel and Spree.”
